Rocket Platform

A central hub designed to connect and inform users about the diverse range of products and services offered by Rocket.

Overview

Problem & Goals

In attempts to help shift Rocket’s product positioning from a house of brands to a unified consumer platform, we created a storefront to showcase the amplitude of capabilities that Rocket products have to offer.

The objective was to create a digital space for consumers to learn about all of our services and how we can help them during life’s most complex moments. We aimed to generalize the product offerings into easily digestible categories and pathways to maximize experience for a range of users.
1

Research & Benchmarking

We used research conducted across the company on different Rocket personas as well as platform initiatives to frame our design process for the site. In addition, we benchmarked other companies that have similar motives.
2

Core User Journeys

Designing for Rocket’s platform hub meant showcasing an extensive amount of information with intent for a wide range of users. In order to narrow down the scope and guide users in the right direction, we focused our audience into two goal-oriented journeys.

Journey Page Path

Pages that give more support in their journey, separated into three buckets that better generalize our services: car, money and auto.  Here, users will get a deeper dive and nurturing experience for what they may need or not be aware of.
😎

Direct

More confident in what they are looking for. May already be familiar with Rocket or know exactly what they need help with.

Moments Path

Feature within the landing page that allows for quick access to a user’s potential job to be done. Directs them to the right Rocket product and next steps.

Journey to Product

A combination of both simple and complex paths, catering to both users who are decisive and impulsive, as well as users who require more support and confidence in their significant financial decision-making.
3

Iterate

Throughout numerous intensive weeks, we diligently engaged in sketching, prototyping, conducting user tests, making revisions, and delving deeper into emerging challenges and user requirements.
4

Finalize

Once we ended on our best solution, we polished the UI and it was sent off for development.
